I love to read and learn! I am always working on a project and love to pass on my passion for learning to my students! My first session is always free so that we can get to know each other, review your student's work, assess their learning style, and create a strategy. As a teacher, tutor and Director of a Learning Center, my first and most important role is to pass on a love of learning to my students! Learning should be inspiring, engaging and creative. As I work with my students, I look for their particular learning styles and tutor by utilizing their strengths. Each student is unique and each can succeed - given the right tools. Today there are so many ways to learn using a little imagination! As I teach, I encourage my students to think critically and strategically - outside the box of a textbook so that they understand the material (not just memorize it). I look for opportunities to encourage them in character and strive get them excited about the challenge before them. As a strong motivator and experienced tutor, my relationship with my students is paramount to my success. In working with students for more than 15 years, and with a Master's Degree in Education, I have taught Elementary through High School ages, all subjects and understand how students learn. I also offer SAT/ACT prep tutoring and classes. I am flexible with scheduling and allow for make up sessions with a 12 hour cancellation notice. I look forward to helping your student succeed!
